I’ll write about this gongfu stuff (“kung fu” is how most people spell it) in detail soon, and for the rest of my life probably. Briefly, now, to provide a little background:
Around 2004, I hit that stage in a man’s mid-thirties when he either needs to start exercising or just give up and die. After careful consideration, I chose the former option. I started studying taijiquan (“tai chi” is how most people spell it) and that turned into something that would expand and consume many hours and dollars, accrue bruises, and generally make me a happier guy. I study Yang style taijiquan, along with short baguazhang and hsing-i quan forms. I owe huge debts to my teachers, and I’ll write about them in time.
